Welcome to Beaver Town, Arkansas

Golden Gate of the Ozarks Bridge and the train trestle

Nestled among 100 year old trees on the banks of the western most tip of Table Rock Lake where the White River meets the lake, lies the town of Beaver, Arkansas.

Dear Friends, the flooding of 2008 has caused structural damage to our beloved bridge. It is currently barricaded at both ends and we ask that everyone protect our bridge by staying off the bridge. Bolts in the I-beams have come lose and the vibration of motor vehicles will cause them to fall into the lake. So, please be patient with the Highway Department which is doing allit can to repair the bridge. Work will begin as soon as the water goes down enough to get construction crews underneath. Thank you for your patience.

Due to High Water Beaver Park is Closed Indefinitely

Tent camp site and RV camp site

Our popular Beaver Park & Campground has been enjoyed for its beautiful, serene setting from the times when the Native American Indians roamed the Ozark Mountains to present day.

The railroad trestle across the White River, built in the late 1800s, was featured in the 1982 Civil War movie "Blue & Gray".

Our "Golden Gate of the Ozarks" swinging bridge is the last one in Arkansas open to vehicular traffic and is referred to as "the bridge to nostalgia". Our historic little bridge was featured in the 2005 movie, "Elizabethtown".
